I’m Dr Heshan Dharmaratna, and I’m delighted to join the team at Beach Road Surgery & Skin Clinic.
I graduated in 2002 and bring more than 20 years of clinical experience across a range of specialties, including General Practice, Emergency Medicine, Ophthalmology, and ENT. Over the years I have worked in Canberra, Sydney, and most recently at Fairfield Hospital, gaining a broad perspective on patient care.
After many busy years in large cities, I have chosen to settle in beautiful Batemans Bay for a slower-paced lifestyle and the opportunity to enjoy the stunning South Coast environment. I am passionate about primary and preventative health care and consider it a privilege to provide ongoing, whole-of-life care for my patients. I have a special interest in supporting people with chronic medical conditions and helping them improve their quality of life.
Originally from Sri Lanka, I moved to Australia over a decade ago and now feel very much at home here. I look forward to meeting you and working together to support your health and wellbeing.
