Our Results & Records Policies

Test Results

Test results are downloaded daily into our system.


The procedure in place dealing with patients test results is as follows;

  1. No action – GP will discuss with the patient at the next visit.
  2. Non urgent – Reception staff will be asked to call the patient to arrange a non urgent appointment.
  3. Urgent GP will phone patients with results or ask reception to arrange an urgent appointment.


Patient Health Records

Our practice has an electronic filing system for the collection and storage of patient health records. Each staff member at Beach Road Surgery & Skin Clinic has a unique password to log onto computers, and passwords are not shared.


Patients who have registered for the My Health Record have access to their medical information.


Should patients wish to access information from their records, they are able to email our reception staff at admin@beachroadsurgery.com.au, and once their GP has authorised the release of the requested information, it will be provided to the patient.
